Our Story

Ross and Sarah grew up alongside horses and cattle in rural Alberta. They were raised with an appreciation of outdoor family-orientated activities. As life progressed and they began raising their four children, they wanted to pass on the same values and traditions that they were raised on. Ross and Sarah believed that having horses and cattle as part of their children’s lives would instill an appreciation for the natural world as well as develop a strong work ethic because of the responsibilities associated with having animals. During this time, the children quickly formed a passion toward horses. It was evident that horses had such a positive impact on their daily lives. It was something they could all do as a family and as something they all enjoy.

In 2024 Ross and Sarah were presented with an opportunity to take over ownership of the reputable wagon and sleigh company, Longriders. Longriders has been operating in and around the Edmonton area for over 35 years as the principal provider for wagon and sleigh rides. Ross and Sarah appreciate what Ken Dobush has accomplished and they wanted to keep his legacy and tradition alive. They knew this was the right decision for their family. This allowed their family to take the positive impact and passion this outdoor activity gave them and turn it into a career. The Seifridt family all enjoy being a part of this business and they are thrilled to share the joy and passion that horses have brought to them to surrounding communities.
